The Adirondacks Part 2

26 Oct

After the kids woke up from their nap on Saturday we drove to Raquette Lake – a place Paul’s family used to camp when he and Julie were little.  It was beautiful and really fun to be somewhere the family shared so many memories..

Trying to get a picture of all three kids went like this..

Luc was on a mission..

Family shots

A bear photo shoot the next morning..

One last look before we left..

Then we headed into town to look around the shops at eat some lunch before we hit the road..

The Adirondacks Part 1

25 Oct

The weekend before we left for Florida we took a trip to the Adirondacks with Paul’s Fam!  Rusty rented a super cozy and nice cabin for us all to stay in.  The first day we just hung out together and relaxed – We let the kids run around the cabin, ate Julie’s yummy chili for dinner  then got to talk by the fire when the kids went to sleep.

Saturday morning we woke up to breakfast Steve cooked then caught the Train just in time! We were a little distracted by the deer we saw when we opened the car door..

We gave the kids skittles so they would sit still – but I think it backfired because as soon as we tried to snap a picture they would be chewing or already asking for another!

Halfway through the train ride it stopped at a pumpkin patch and let all of the kids pick one out..

We love Olivia’s stories.. she’s so funny

Tim’s Pumpkin Patch

Last Saturday we went to pick some pumpkins with the Moshatys and the Szozdas.  It was a lot of fun – especially for the kids.  Zoey loved all of the dogs running around, Brayden loved the hay maze, James loved riding in the wheelbarrow and Sam loved helping pick everyone out the best pumpkins.  After they were all paid for – Monique surprised us with plates full of apple fritters (a first and new favorite of mine) then we stopped at Johnny Angel’s for dinner!  It was a great day..

Owen’s Apple Orchard Trip 1

10 Oct

We met my mom and brothers at the orchard the other week – it was the perfect day.  Zoey loved it and would get so upset if she dropped her apple – if you can’t tell from the pictures she always had to be holding (or eating) one.

It’s Official!

27 Sep

We are moving to Florida!  The offer letter has been signed, the notice has been put in, and applications for places to live are being faxed over.  If everything goes as planned – we will be on the road October 22nd!  It’s been a long process and it all became so real for me today.  Close family and friends know – but for those of you who haven’t heard the news – Paul got a job with Brookline Development Company as a property manager down in New Port Richey, Florida.  There are 12 buildings the company leases out that Paul will be in charge of – 8 in one complex and 4 down the street.  The buildings are occupied by a variety of people – from the sheriff’s office and the DOC to restaurants and various health care companies.  He’s really excited to be starting a new career in something he’s truly interested in.  It’s a huge decision and a big move – but we feel that it’s a great opportunity and the right thing to do for our family.  We are going to miss everyone terribly and the move is going to be challenging – but we do believe that it will bring positive experiences, new opportunities and hopefully a few visits from friends and family.  : )

Yay for Summer!

The Leonards and the Nesbitts are finally here for a whole MONTH!  We left our camera charger in Virginia so I don’t have any awesome pics to post of all the littles – but Ash posted a bunch on her blog here!

I do have some cute cellphone pics I took the other day of Zoey – too exhausted from playing in the sun to even swing!
